    Hi!
Oh thats a shame, why is it that you cant go anymore?
My maths teacher at the time, he was the one who got me into Paulo Coelho and leant me "Veronica". At first I was kind of sceptical and thought it would be a bit slow but I actually found it more grabbing than I thought I would lol It got to a point in the book where I thought "I know where this is goin" but I found that I didnt really matter that I could kind of guess the plot because, as you say there is alot more to his work. The character's emotions were enough to motivate me to finish it, if that makes sense lol And I guess, thinking back, as a troubled youth, it was probably quite comforting for me in a way! lol
It's really great being able to discuss his books :)

With school and studying, I don't have time to drop to the library and read books. I only read books at Christmas, Εaster and in summer . Tragic right? :P
Yes, if you're talking about Veronica's emotions, I agree :) It was ...exciting to try to understand her psychology and the way that an almost-suicide thinks lol.
I was thinking the same thing! My best friend likes Coelho too, but she doesn't like Xena. It's awesome to talk about Coelho with a Xena fan Lol :P

No its not cliched at all. The first one I read was The Alchemist, my maths teacher leant it to me. I say all the time what a life-changing book it is. I thought the same thing when I bought The Valkyries lol I haven't read that one yet or The Zahir. Im half way through that one. Another of his I really liked is By the River Piedra I sat down and wept. Even if I dont read them straight away I had to buy them lol
So you were a right regular weren't you. That's cool, I bet the librarian looked forward to seeing a regular :)

Yep, I was a regular and the librarian could call me with my name by the end of the summer... :P It's a pity I can't go to the library these days... I love his book " By the river...." too! It has a great plot but the greatest thing imo is Coelho's ability to merge different things, different issues in one book. For example that specific book was about a love story, but if you searched deeper you could understand that it was more a philosophical and existential quest.
One Coelho's book I didn't like so much was "Veronica decides to die". What's your opinion about it, if you've read it?

Haha, no, as far as I know.... I was talking about "The winner stands alone". I'm glad you liked it :) In summer I used to go to the local libraby almost every week and every day I went there I asked the librarian if "The witch of Portobello" is available and every time she looked at me and said that she had borrowed it to someone else! Is it gonna sound to clichi if I say that I've been meaning to read this book too for a very long time ? :P It's true...
Which was the first Coelho's book you've read? I read "The alchemist" some years ago and I liked it so much that I started reading more of his books. Have you read " The Valkyries"? I was excited when I found out that one of his books is Xena-related :p Well, not exactly Xena-related , but it's name reminds me of Xena... lol . I haven't read it yet.

    Hi!

You have probably read it by now, I've been away a while but I really enjoyed it. Paulo Coelho can't seem to disappoint! lol
The Girl with the dragon tattoo, did you like that one? Have you read Winner stands alone?
I really want him to come to England so I can meet him!

No, I haven't made it to read "The girl with the dragon tattoo" yet.. :( A movie with this name based on the book has been released lately but I'm trying hard not to indulge and go to see it, because I want to read the book first :P . Other obligations are keeping me busy these days and I can't seem to find some time to begin it .
Oh "The winner stands alone" .. this book! I've been meaning to read it for a long time but as you can imagine I haven't. These two books are on the top of my to-read list, however... Did you like Choelho's last book?
